Brownswood Recordings proudly presents debut album “harp, beats & dreams” by the immensely talented harpist and composer Marysia Osu. As a key member of Levitation Orchestra and a graduate of Brownswood’s esteemed ‘Bubblers’ academy, Marysia’s music journey reflects her diverse background and innovative artistry. Originally from Poland and now based in London, Marysia’s path in music began at a state-funded primary school, where she first learned piano before falling in love with the harp at Junior Trinity.
Her debut album, “harp, beats & dreams,” is a captivating collection of diary-like entries that transport listeners through a sonic journey of experiences and reflections. Marysia’s innovative use of the harp, coupled with electronic production and collaborations with artists like YUIS and Plumm, creates a transcendent and healing listening experience. The album’s opening track, “seatime,” explores themes of self-acceptance and harmony, setting the tone for a record imbued with philosophical and stoic themes.
